Timothy S. Conley 44 of Milwaukee has been charged with OPERATING WHILE INTOXICATED – 10TH AND SUBSEQUENT OFFENSE, GENERAL ALCOHOL CONCENTRATION ENHANCER, and OPERATE MOTOR VEHICLE WHILE REVOKED – OWI RELATED, HABITUAL TRAFFIC OFFENDER. He is currently being held in $25,000 cash bond after making his initial appearance today in Racine Circuit Court. His Preliminary hearing on March 26, 2014.

According to the criminal complaint, 2:27hours, a citizen notified the Racine County Communications Center of a reckless driver travelling Southbound on I-94 near CTH K in a manner this citizen felt was unsafe. It was reported the driver was varying speeds, deviating from his own lane of travel and weaving in and out of traffic.

Deputies were able to locate the vehicle on I-94 and attempted to initiate a traffic stop based on the reported complaint and observations made by the Deputy which were similar to that of the witness. It took the driver about 1 and a half miles to pull over and upon doing so, the operator smelled of intoxicants.

The driver, identified as Timothy S Conley, 44 years of age with a listed address out of Milwaukee, was taken into custody for 10th Offense Driving While Intoxicated after failing standardized field sobriety tests at the location of the stop. Deputies transported Conley to Wheaton Franciscan Health Care/Spring Street Campus for blood tests.

Conley has previous convictions in both Wisconsin and Indiana on the following dates: 01/07/1991 Indiana, 02/03/1993 Wisconsin, 09/13/1993 Indiana, 09/19/1996 Indiana, 10/27/2003 Wisconsin, 08/01/2006 Indiana, 02/21/2007 Wisconsin, 01/07/2009 Wisconsin and 12/10/2012 Indiana.
