The Racine Police Department in conjunction with CRIME STOPPERS of Racine County Inc. is seeking information on a Homicide that occurred in the City of Racine.
On July 31 at approximately 11:41 pm, Racine police officers responded to 1616 Packard Ave., in reference to a Homicide report. Faith Harrison was sitting on the front porch of 1616 Packard Ave. speaking with friends. A short time later, shots were fired in the direction of the home from the southwest corner of 1627 Packard Ave. Harrison was struck in the head, and passed away from her injuries a short time later.
There is no suspect information at this time.

Update-Faith Harrison succumbed to the injuries from the gunshot wound and passed away today.
Original-On July 31st, 2012 at about 11:40 P.M. Racine Police officers were dispatched to 1616 Packard Ave. for a female who had been shot on the front porch of the home. Officers responded and located the 19 year old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to her head. Racine Fire Department Rescue transported her to Wheaton-Franciscan All Saints Emergency Room. She was then transferred by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. The victim’s injuries are considered life threatening.
The initial investigation has revealed the victim, and several other people, were on the front porch of 1616 Packard Ave. when several gunshots were fired in their direction.
There are no suspects in custody at this time. This is an active and ongoing investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
