Suspects who beat and robbed a paralyzed man appear in court

Both suspects accused of beating a paralyzed Racine man and robbing him appeared in Racine Felony Court this morning at 8:30 a.m. Their pretrial conferences are set for November 30,2012 at 8:15 a.m. Both have entered not guilty pleas.

Alexander Pietsch is charged with Robbery, Substantial Battery-Intend Bodily Harm, and bail jumping, Justin Lyons is charged with Robbery and Substantial Battery-Intend Bodily Harm. Currently Pietsch is in custody at Racine County Jail on a cash bond and PO hold. Justin Lyons was released after the initial hearing on a $3000 signature bond and GPS bracelet.

Both have entered not guilty pleas in the beating and robbery of David Scholzen on October 14th. According to police reports, he was thrown from his wheelchair and the suspects allegedly punched and kicked him near the area of Jerstad Agerholm School. The victim noticed that the suspects were acting suspiciously before the attack and dialed 911 on his cell phone. Dispatchers were able to hear what was going on and were able to trace and ping the cell phone and its location. One of the suspects was caught with the victims cell phone when police apprehended him. The victim was taken to Wheaten Franciscan/All Saints and treated for cuts and bruises, he was released from the hospital later that day.

  1. What a couple of low life punks, I bet their parent/parents are proud of them. Lock these A$$HOLES up for as long as they can.

    That won’t happen in Ratcine, the court system will just give them a little slap on the butt.

  3. A Racine judge will give these animals probation. You’ll read about them again. Maybe they’ll beat a quadriplegic to death. Then everyone will say oh my, how did that happen?

  4. How do they plea not guilty? How does that work? Can I go rob a bank, get caught and then say not guilty and get away with it?

  5. We should tie each of these idiots to a wheel chair (rendering them defenseless) and have a couple of primates from the zoo have a go at them. Fair? An eye for an eye, I say!
