Munjed H. Hamdan was charged in Racine County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of possession of narcotic drugs, one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, he faces up to 20 months in prison.
According to the criminal complaint, on Tuesday, a Mount Pleasant police officer on patrol saw Hamden drive out of Castle Court, then head southbound on Highway 31 at a high rate of speed. He was first in the middle lane, then cut to the right lane, then swerved all the way to the left lane before entering the center lane again.
The officer said he pulled the vehicle over and found Hamden had a warrant out for his arrest, so Hamden was taken into custody. Officers then planned to drive and park Hamdan’s car at Speedway. But when the the officer got into the car, he spotted a bottle of Adderall, then found scales, a bottle of Oxycodone, 12 cell phones, a GPS unit, a digital camcorder and assorted gold chains and watches.
Hamdan is currently being held in Racine County Jail on $400 bond while awaiting trial.
