Updated- Both suspects appeared in court today. Probable cause was found in both cases. Justin Lyons is being held on a $3,000 signature bond, it’s order that if Justin does gain release he is to be put on a GPS monitoring system. Alexander Pietsch is being held on a $2,500 cash bond and is currently still on a PO hold. Both suspects are scheduled to appear on November 1 at 8:30 a.m. for their preliminary hearing.
Original Story:Two teens Alexander Pietsch 19, and Justin Lyons, 18 are facing charges of armed robbery and substantial battery, with intended Bodily Harm, for an attack on a paraplegic man earlier today. Both are being held on $10,000 cash bond and Pietsch is currently on a PO hold from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and appears according to CCAP, to be out on a $250 bond from a criminal traffic case on October 9th, 2012.
Earlier today the victim was on his way home from a friends house when the two suspects approached him, threw him out of his wheelchair and allegedly punched and kicked him near the area of Jerstad Agerholm School. The victim noticed that the suspects were acting suspiciously before the attack and dialed 911 on his cell phone. Dispatchers were able to hear what was going on and were able to trace and ping the cell phone and its location. One of the suspects was caught with the victims cell phone when police apprehended him.
Family states that the victim was taken to Wheaten Franciscan/All Saints and treated for cuts and bruises, he was released from the hospital this morning. Suspects should be making their initial appearance in the next day or so.
