Shots fired near Park High School

9:16 a.m. Racine Police are on scene across the street from Park High School and in the 1900 block of 12th Street, after responding to multiple calls for shots fired there. Callers stated that they heard 4 shots being fired, saw a hispanic male with a backpack running from the scene, another suspect is also described as a hispanic male, wearing possibly a gray hoodie who was last seen heading down 12th Steet. ETS are being called to the scene in the 1900 block of Linden, for a garage bring struck by gunfire. Multiple officers are investigating, there are no reported injuries and currently all students are staying in their class rooms on lockdown
10:24 a.m. – Witnesses inside Park state that they are no longer on lockdown. Witnesses from the shooting are now stating that the alleged victim and suspect were standing together when shots were being fired and they were just firing at random and not at particular person, police are investigating
10:56 a.m. – Dispatch is sending squads to an address, a mother is on the phone with a mother stating that her son just came home stating that her son was being shot at by Park HS. He is trying to leave the home now and would be on foot
11:02 a.m. – Officers on scene at Park have stated that they review video of the school and now have a party detained inside Park HS that also may have been somehow involved, party will be transported to detective bureau for questioning
11:08 a.m. – Student that went home was found hiding under a blanket at home, he is being transported to PD also for questioning. According to radio reports, it’s believed that the 2 students may have been a target or witness
