Suspect tased after fleeing and resisting arrest

Quantez M. Marshall, 21, of Racine,  has been charged with resisting an officer, misdemeanor battery and two counts of disorderly conduct.The bond amount is $735 but records show that he is currently on a PO hold by Department of Corrections.

According to the complaint on  Jan. 3,  2012Marshall and his then-girlfriend got in a fight about a Facebook account. The suspect allegedly became upset and pushed the victim onto a bed in his bedroom, where she fell on top of her 3-year-old cousin.

Marshall allegedly straddled the woman, pinned her arms above her head and began to strike her in the face with his fists. She was left with minor facial injuries. Marshall had fled the location before police arrived.

On Thursday afternoon, officers spotted Marshall as he walked into the Laundromat in the 3900 block of Erie Street. When Marshall realized officers had seen him, he allegedly ran out of a rear exit door.

The complaint states that when officers saw him reach near his waistband as if reaching for a weapon, the suspect was tased. Marshall continued to resist and was tased again and subsequently handcuff and taken into custody.
