Maddie-The Story Of A Craig’s List Rescue

A JRs Pups N Stuff volunteer found a listing on Craigslist for an 8 week old pitty puppy, with ‘cropped ears’, that needed a new home – ‘small re-homing fee’. With that first picture, our volunteer’s heart immediately went into over drive, as did her desire to save her (usually, a pitty pup, with ‘cropped’ ears are used for fighting, or they are the bait!!’)

She contacted two more volunteers – and together, they have a plan – contact this person, and see if they can get this puppy. Well, the ‘small re-homing fee’ is anything but small, and puppy is Madison.

OK, new plan, after some setbacks, in comes a volunteer’s husband, named ‘George’, another volunteer and her friend, a cop. Long story short – ‘George’, the cop and another volunteer arrange to and GET this baby!! As you can see by her picture – yes – someone ‘cropped’ or butchered her ears!!! So, now you see why the picture had such an effect, and started this mass chain of events.

Madison, named by the “wonder police officer” who helped them, is now in their care. We will get her to the vet asap, to check on her ears, her general health, and get her vetting done. She will be cared for by ‘George’ and his wife. Best thing is, that now only good things await this girl. Welcome Maddie – you are so loved!!
