Inmate found dead at Racine County Jail

The Racine County Sheriff’s Department reported Saturday that a 56-year-old inmate was found unresponsive in his cell. A written release from RCSD states that, at 5:40 a.m. Saturday, jail personnel found the man unresponsive. He is said to have suffered from medical issues and was under jail medical watch. Rescue responded and declared the man deceased. The Sheriff’s office continues to investigate the situation.
