House intentionally set on fire 1625 Grange

The Racine Fire Department and the Racine Police Department are asking anyone with information to contact them about an arson at 1625 Grange Ave. Officials state that it was a vacant home and they stated the fire was intentionally set. The Racine Fire Department responded shortly after 5 a.m. this morning (Sunday). Neighbors saw smoke and called 911, according to the fire department. No one was inside the vacant two-story house, fire damaged estimated around $2,500 was contained to the first floor. No reported injuries.

  1. I know of at least 3 properties in the City that have been burned – and left boarded up – that doesn’t include the bar. I have two of them pictured here – plus the bar.

    When property prices are very low – houses become throw-aways because the insurance pay-out is more than buying another house in the City.
