Landmark Credit Union Robbed-Grove Ave

CORRECTION. IT WAS REPORTED THAT HORIZON CREDIT UNION WAS ROBBED. LANDMARK CREDIT UNION PURCHASED HORIZON. Radio reports that Racine Police are on scene and investigating what was an apparent armed robbery at Landmark Credit Union located at 1931 Grove Avenue. The priority call was sent directly to officers where they responded about 45 mins. ago. Witnesses report that there is a large police presence. The suspect is described as a black male over 6 feet tall, was wearing all black including black shoes. Radio reports he did display a silver handgun. No reports of any specific amount of money being taken yet. Officers are out canvassing the area and talking to residents. Witnesses also report that the Racine County Sheriff’s Department has squads out there too. The suspect fled east after leaving the credit union. This is an open, active and ongoing investigation.
