CORRECTION AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STORY
Racine police are out with girl in the 300 block of Shelley who was robbed at gunpoint around 7:30 a.m. 3rd party callers contacted 911 saying that a girl was chasing 2 suspects yelling that they had robbed her. The suspects also damaged a fence running from the scene. Suspect description are 2 black males, one wearing a neon green jacket, thin build, wearing a bandana over his face (this suspect was armed with a gun), 2nd suspect, black male, thin build, wearing a tan coat. Was seen running towards Blaine and Osbourne after the robbery, shots fired called came in a few minutes later for the 2800 block of Eisenhower Drive in the wooded area, squads are also investigating this (nothing found).
8:06 a.m. – Witnesses are out with police giving an area where they saw suspects run. Officers are checking the area on foot. Gun description is a black semi-auto, possibly a glock
8:12 a.m. – Officers on scene asking that the station be contacted and see if these are the robbery suspects from the 19th & Deane area at around 6:30 a.m. Officers are asking that the hospital be notified in case someone comes in with a gunshot wound (from the shots fired on Eisenhower) Witnesses told police they have also found the gun.
8:18 a.m. – Racine County Sheriff’s Deputies are now in the area (robberies are not related 19th/Dean and this one, 2 different sets of goons) RCSD released the perimeter of a nearby park.
(Correction….note it was originally reported that the victim may have been 14, it’s unconfirmed, victim looks really young.)
