From the Kenosha Police Department-A reminder to the public for tomorrow into Wednesday. Waves on Lake Michigan are expected to be as high as 43 feet the next two days. Waves will be crashing along our shoreline and it will be extremely windy as we will be experiencing some of the wrath of Hurricane Sandy. Due to these circumstances, the Coast Guard will not be going out on the lake. Please stay back from the shoreline, please don’ t try to go out and “surf” the waves or try to take any small craft out onto the lake, and most of all please educate your children that the lakefront will be a dangerous place to be. It will be life threatening conditions. A rescue would be almost impossible, so please keep this in mind and stay safe. Our lakefront is usually a beautiful place to be, but not during the conditions we are expecting. Be careful out there!
