Police are searching for a suspect in a possible child enticement incident that happened sometime between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Oct. 11 on Prairie Crossing Drive and County Trunk Highway H.

According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, a man approached a 14-year-old boy walking home from school on Prairie Crossing Drive. The boy told police that he saw a black pickup pass him, then the truck turned around and stopped where the boy was walking.

“Are you Mason?” The man asked.

After the boy told him no, the man said he knew him because he lived nearby and asked the boy if he wanted a lift home. The boy said no and the man drove off in his truck. The truck had a Harley-Davidson stick in the rear window, according to the report.

The boy’s mother told police she was unsure if the man was just trying to be nice or if he meant any harm to the boy. She told police she didn’t want to press charges or have the suspect spoken to.

The man is described as a white man, about 30 years old, bald, and having no facial hair.
