Plane Crashes on I94 just north of Highway 20

Radio reports that a small plans has crashed onto I-94 just north of Highway 20. Fire is on scene and Racine County Sheriff’s Department is on scene, all traffic is going to be stopped from coming onto the expressway by Highway 20. State Patrol is on scene. TRUE unit has been notified by State Patrol. Radio reports that 2 parties may be injured at this time, no report of fatalities. Plane is leaking fuel, it’s a twin engine plane, plane holds 400 gallons and was in the air for 2 hours, failed landing. Highway 20 and East Frontage is also closed at this time, all traffic is being diverted. State Patrol sending in more units to help. Enough State Patrol and additional resources are en route. Caledonia is not needed at this time. Radio reports that a passenger of the plane was transported for what appeared to be minor injuries
Flight Investigations is en route to the crash scene. (crash scene is at mile marker 334 aprox). State Patrol is sending more units for traffic. MPPD and CPD are assisting with on lookers at Louie Sorenson and the I. Fire is having issues with the leaking fuel. FAA is en route. DNR is also on scene. DPW is trying to help contain fuel spill. State reconstruction investigators are en route. Sounds like there are trucks up on the I they are trying to figure out how to get off the I and may need to have everyone back up and off the expressway.
7:42 p.m. – Media outlets are starting to show up and they are being told to go to Louie Sorenson Rd and NOT Frontage Road. DPW is en route with Oil Dri
7:55 p.m. – Fire rigs are being moved so that they can get some of the semis out of the way and moving
