The Racine Police Department is searching for a suspect in an assault that left a man hospitalized from Thursday afternoon.
Police are looking for a African-American man — 25 to 30 years old — who is between 5 ‘ 9 ” and 6 “, average build, he was wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and black baseball cap.
According to reports a 36-year-old man remained hospitalized Thursday afternoon with a serious head injury after he was reportedly punched several times Wednesday in the parking lot of a Racine gas station following an argument.
The argument happened at the Mobil Gas Station located in the 3700 block of Spring Street. Officers responded initially for a man down called and found the victim with serious head injuries. The assault occurred because of an altercation concerning driving.
The suspect fled on foot after the assault and left behind a 1999 Purple Pontiac Bonneville, police seize the car.
