BMO Harris Bank Robbed

Subject: Bank Robbery
Victim: BMO Harris Bank – 4100 Durand Ave.

On September 7th, 2012 at about 9:05 A.M. officers responded to 4100 Durand Ave., BMO Harris Bank, for a bank robbery that had just occurred. Several individuals are currently in custody and are persons of interest in this incident.

Officers learned at about 9:05 A.M. a suspect entered BMO Harris Bank at 4100 Durand Ave. The suspect approached a teller, stated he was robbing the bank and demanded money. The teller provided an undetermined amount of money to the suspect and the suspect left the bank. Witnesses observed the suspect enter a dark blue sport utility vehicle a short distance from the bank. The vehicle then drove from the area. Minutes after the robbery officers located a vehicle matching the description on Lathrop Ave. traveling north bound. Officers followed the vehicle to the 1400 block of West Lawn Ave. The vehicle then parked, several people exited the vehicle, and entered a home in that same block. Officers quickly established a perimeter around the home and several adult males were placed in custody. No injuries have been reported from this incident.

The investigation of this incident is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.
