Suspect arrested for kidnapping, is a sex offender

August 17th 7:28 a.m. – From The Milwaukee Police Department-Thank you again to all here who shared information on the critical missing woman from yesterday. Those of you who used your social networks to spread this information are an important part of our work in the community and we are grateful for your help. 135 shares of that post mean you all are a force!
As an update, the suspect was arrested for kidnapping, fleeing from police and recklessly endangering safety charges. The suspect also was wanted for felony violation of probation and had a felony warrant for failure to maintain his sex registry. The woman is OK this morning – home with her family.

8/16/12-8:50 p.m. Update from the Milwaukee Police Department
The critical missing / kidnapping down syndrome victim has been located. She is OK, however, she is shaken up due to her stepfather’s reckless driving and the fact that he rammed a police squad that attempted to stop her. The officers were not injured. The short pursuit was initiated at S. Layton Bl & W Pierce St. at 7:56 pm and ended at 39th & Pierce at 7:58.

The girl is being examined at a local hospital. We thanks the media and those people on social media who shared her photo and information.
