Sturtevant Police took reports on July 18 and Aug. 1 of dogs left in locked vehicles, and officers want to remind pet parents that serious brain damage and death only take minutes when the sun is shining.
“Our department would like to remind dog owners that death or brain damage can occur within minutes during even cooler weather with the windows partially open,” said Chief Sean Marschke.
