Fred Gossett is scheduled to appear today August 15, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. along with his son Curtis Gossett for his preliminary hearing. The Racine community appears to be outraged regarding the case of Fred Gossett. They have sent over 200 letters to the District Attorney regarding this case.

Fred Gossett is accused of entering a woman’s home on July 30 along with his son Curtis Gossett and stomping a Beagle puppy to death all over $13. His bond is currently $3,000 cash, after being lowered by from $7,500 and now his public defender wants it lowered to $1,000. 1. Well hopefully the DA will take those letters to heart, people DONT WANT him released, his medical problems didn’t stop him drinking, breaking into a home and “allegedly” stomping a defenseless puppy to death. I know I don’t want him roaming around Racine especially the southside.

  2. Since when has the RCJ staff and the DA’s office/Sheriff given a crap about medical treatment while in jail? They haven’t cared about anyone that I know having medical issues, why should they start now? This guy didn’t give a crap about the dog that he killed, why should they give a crap about him? Let’s stomp on him a few times, maybe he’ll feel better.

  4. The son is the worse of them, time after time, felony after felony violent crime after violent crime and what happens? dismissed by DA. his CCAP record sucks, hopefully the District Attorney’s office way of thinking has changed with new leadership and it’s not about plea bargains and hand slaps, its about justice and protecting the citizens of Racine. (some cases were dismissed for incompetence, so why wasn’t he put away until he was able to regain mental status?)

  5. Holy crap, what did he have on the old DA that he kept getting “get out of jail free” cards? WTF? I swear this system sucks. You can’t even file a police report yourself without getting arrested if you have an outstanding ticket and meanwhile the person actually committing the crimes goes free because they can’t (won’t) look for a trail?!? Are you freakin’ kidding me?

  6. Keep em in lock-up! If you know me you know I wouldn’t wish that on just anyone but these two are very deserving of the R.C.J.

Maybe when he gets out Obama can praise him, just like Michael Vick.
