The Stand Down is open to all veterans, especially those who are homeless or in need, and their families. Stand Down’s philosophy is a hand up, not a hand out.
Among the services planned are breakfast and lunch, employment services, Veterans Affairs and Social Security benefits, counseling, housing assistance information, haircuts, legal aid, health screening, and referrals to a variety of other services. This is a collaborative event, coordinated between local Veterans Agencies, other government agencies and community agencies.
