The Milwaukee Police Department announced that on July 11 at about 9:10 p.m. District 3 Police Officers Allen Tenhaken, Markel McKinley and Corianna Chisum were conducting a field interview in the 900 block of N. 27th St. Officer Tenhaken was flagged down by a woman in a white sedan who was pointing east on W. Kilbourn saying “he went that way.”
Officers McKinley and Chisum attempted to stop the suspect who began running across W. Kilbourn. Officer McKinley took the suspect into custody in the 2400 block of W. Kilbourn Ave. P.O. McKinley informed Chisum that the suspect threw a gun down in the street during the foot pursuit. Meanwhile, Officer Tenhaken determined that the suspect had robbed the woman who stopped the officers at the Golden Midtown Store, 801 N 27th St.
The suspect is a convicted felon. A great job by veteran Officer Tenhaken showing these new officers how great neighborhood relationships are built when police return the public spaces back to the community!Share on Facebook
