Lockdown over at Kenosha schools; search ongoing for home invasion suspect

KENOSHA – The Kenosha Sheriff’s Department says that some schools were locked down Thursday morning due to authorities searching for a suspect in the case of a home invasion.

That lockdown has been lifted, but the search continues for the suspect.

The department told TODAY’S TMJ4 that someone broke into a mobile home on the 3700 block of 27th Street in the Town of Somers.

That suspect reportedly ransacked a room, found out that there were people inside the home, then took off running.

The suspect apparently had a weapon at the time. Authorities are searching for him.

No one was injured in the incident at the mobile home.

Bradford High School, Bullen Middle School and Hillcrest School chose to enter lockdown mode as authorities searched for the suspect.
