ATL issued-Shots fired in downtown
9:33 a.m. – Racine police are responding to 911 calls for shots fired in the area of 10th & Villa. Caller heard 3 loud reports and saw a black vehicle fleeing the area.
9:35 a.m. – Officers are in the area.
9:35 a.m. – Vehicle went eastbound to Park and southbound. Officers from the annex heard them too. Additional squads are in the area.
9:37 a.m. – Radio reports that the black vehicle also had apparent bullet holes in the vehicle. Squads are on scene and in the area
9:38 a.m. – Officers are looking for a crime scene (casings) but believe the casings may be in the vehicle
9:38 a.m. – Witnesses say that the drivers side door window was shot out
9:42 a.m. – Vehicle description 4 door black possibly impala or charger new vehicle, black male, black tshirt and hoodie.
9:43 a.m. – Witness is certain that there were 2 shots fired in the window was clear that it had been shot at
9:44 a.m. – ATL is being issued for the vehicle along with officer safety
9:48 a.m. – Officers have found broken glass from a vehicle at the scene (so either the goon didn’t roll down his window before popping off a few rounds or we had a little shoot out in the area)
9:52 a.m.- Investigators are en route. The crime scene is the 1100 block of Villa east side. Window is dark tinted.
10:21 a.m. – Officers are asking for ET’s to the 900 block of Villa, they have found bullet holes in a home
10:28 pm. – Investigators are asking about all calls for this area.

This falls into the REALITY category. Just had someone comment to me on facebook how they are now used to shots being fired. NO ONE should ever had to get used to it.

Racine and Mt. Pleasant has had a number of these incidents. Are they all related? Sooner or later…. they are going to kill someone – hopefully not an innocent bystander or someone in the area.
Unusual – even the local shopper is carrying coverage – albeit late…

People act like gunshots in these areas are rare..lol they are not rare. 10th and grand is bad even worse in the summertime. I have a feeling we are going to have a bad summer

My2cents, pathetic part like I mentioned above. No one should ever be used to hearing shots fired on a regular basis. This city deserves better. Past 4 years of doing this site, I think this summer isn’t going to be a good one. People have to be aware of their surroundings. Don’t be paranoid, just pay attention.. I’m hoping for the best and to be able to say this fall that I WAS WRONG!

Your right no one should ever have to hear or get used to gunshots. No where in racine. Now that the carry and conceal law has passed we will be hearing more shots. Because someone is bound to try and rob someone and they will shoot to protect themself. This city is going to be like the wild wild west lol then a ghost town or a city full of immagrants

And since when is anywhere around 10th st and grand considered downtown? I thought that was like midtown. I didn’t know the ghetto was considered downtown
