RU picture of the month-Not “Perception”…”Reality”
Thanks to all the readers of Racine Uncovered and to TEAM RU on facebook, who contribute photos from Racine.
We are able to catch what is going on in this city in pictures.
Here’s a prime example and I have decided this is the picture of the month (may be the pic of the year).
Thank you to the men and women of the Racine Police Dept. for their hard work and dedication.
April 16th, 2012. Racine police responded to calls for 150 people fighting at the King Center around 7:20 p.m. Numerous squads were out, witnesses reported that parties had threatened to shoot up the center. Witnesses also reported that there were parties armed with guns. Multiple suspect vehicles were pulled over near the area.
Yet no word from other media outlets or City Hall. Many would have tried to dismiss this as a perception, and quite possibly sweep it under the run….Except pictures are worth 1000 words.

The powers that be do not live in the ghetto, so therefore it doesn’t exist. How utterly corrupt of the Journal Times to pick and choose what stores they will report based upon a political agenda. They have nothing but contempt for the citizens of the city that they supposedly serve.
That should be our number one job: turn the Journal Times into a beacon of truth instead of a scandal sheet that serves the mayor. As long as they are pumping out lies about Racine on the news wires, we don’t have much of a chance of building on the truth.

All the JT does is prop up that failure of a mayor we have. JT publisher Mark Lewis should be fired for censoring the news.
