  1. I knew Jason and Sam and remember that day well. He was a good dog, just old and arthritic (the limping) and scared. He was shot in the back as he headed home – all they had to do was follow him to find out where he lived and the outcome would have been much different. He was close enough that the family even heard the shot that killed him.

  2. Any sane person realizes sam’s comment is ridiculous. Must be a pit owner, eh?

    • What makes you assume that I ALLOW him to be aggressive. I never stated I allowed him nor have I said I didn’t allow him. I just said that he can be aggressive sometimes. He’s a puppy he likes to chew and bite on things and trust me I am working with him on that. It can’t happen overnight. But I have taught him a lot within a week now working on the biting will take a little more time. But if you expect me to beat him or hit him that will not happen. He will be put in a timeout somewhere until he calms down. And then I start the process over. He’s a very good dog. Housetrained good guard dog and don’t knock what I do or whatever because puppies of every breed bite and chew on everything.

  3. I don’t own a pit bull and never have, but that doesn’t mean I might not own one in the future. Dogs that are mean are raised that way, and that could be any dog. Dogs raised by responsible loving people are good dogs, and it doesn’t matter what breed. I’d rather be around pit bulls than people aholes anyday.

  4. I have a 3 month old bull mastiff and he’s about the size of a pitt now and he can be agressive but not to the point where it hurts. He likes to bite and chew on everything and he’s never been abused neglected or in a dog fight. If anything he tries to chase my cat around the house but that’s it. You can raise your dogs at the best of your ability but a dog has teeth and nobody knows what their dog is thinking or what their dogs next move is going to be. Pitts are good dogs to me. They say a golden retriever will turn before a pitt. A family dog. I don’t know but this is very sad for both dog owners. We all know that rpd or the chs doesn’t want pittbulls here or anywhere probably. But that will never happen. They will always be here and I think they are very good dogs. Get rid of the owners that are bad not the pitts.

  5. Look to history regarding the pitbull breed – back in the ’30s (and earlier) this was a family dog and now through cycles and sensationalism media hype, they are a misunderstood breed. THe terrier breed need a strong and structured owner – and PLENTY of exercise, both physically and mentally.
my2cents – curious, why would you allow your pup to be agressive or be the alpha in your home? As an owner of a large (giant) breed, you have an extra responsibility. You are teaching you dog that it is ok to “mouth”, sorry, but little Jr is not going to know your dog is playing and you have a mess on your hands.
I loved my danes and they were part of my family but I was never blind to what they might do in certain situations.
